Head of Accounting

We are seeking a Head of Accounting for Duro Daković Grupa, a member of CE Industries.

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Head of Accounting to lead our accounting function and ensure the highest standards of financial reporting, compliance, and operational excellence. This is a key leadership role for a finance professional who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to lead teams, manage complex reporting processes, and support strategic business objectives.

The successful candidate will play a central role in overseeing accounting operations, financial consolidation, statutory reporting, and cooperation with auditors and regulatory bodies. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the financial integrity and performance of a dynamic and professionally driven organization.

What You Will Do:

• Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring effective collaboration, accountability, and high performance
• Oversee all core accounting processes, including monthly and annual closing activities
• Prepare statutory financial statements, consolidated financial statements, and annual group reports
• Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant reporting for management, auditors, stock exchange requirements, and regulatory authorities
• Coordinate consolidation activities across the holding company and its subsidiaries
• Act as the main point of contact for external auditors and support all audit-related processes
• Maintain the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of accounting data, documentation, and internal controls
• Support continuous improvement of accounting procedures, reporting standards, and financial governance

Co od Vás očekáváme?

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, and consolidation within a manufacturing company and/or an audit firm
• Big Four experience is considered a strong advantage
• Professional accounting certification such as ACCA, CPA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent is highly desirable; IFRS-focused qualifications such as DipIFR are considered an advantage for candidates with strong group reporting exposure
• In-depth knowledge of financial statements, group reporting, and statutory reporting requirements
• Solid understanding of stock exchange reporting obligations and regulatory standards
• Advanced SAP skills and confidence in working with complex financial data
• Excellent analytical skills, precision, and strong attention to detail
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities
• Fluency in Croatian and English, both written and spoken
