Health & Safety Specialist

For Đuro Đaković Grupa, part of our Railway Division, we are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Specialist who will help drive workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and a strong safety culture across the organization.

What will be the scope of your work?

• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and internal policies.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend preventive and corrective measures.
• Develop, implement, and update safety procedures, policies, and guidelines.
• Organize and deliver health and safety training programs for employees.
• Perform regular workplace inspections and internal audits.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing preventive actions.
• Collaborate with external authorities, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor legislative developments and ensure their effective implementation within the company.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organization.

What do we expect from you?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Safety, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Certified Occupational Safety Expert (Level II).
• ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification is an advantage.
• Experience delivering training and awareness programs.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to drive safety initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
