In the production halls of Croatia’s leading manufacturer of railway carriages
Đuro Đaković, we carry out the complete primary production of freight wagons of various types and purposes. Based on the client’s requirements, we manage the entire production process – from the initial structural and design concept through prototype production to verification, type approval and the actual commissioning of the wagon. Thanks to our individual approach, we are able to adapt technical solutions to the customer’s specific operational and logistical requirements.

During operation, railway wagons are subject to normal wear and tear as well as unexpected faults, which can limit their operational readiness. Thanks to our mobile service, we are able to travel directly to the location specified by the customer and carry out emergency maintenance whilst the freight wagon is out of service, as well as scheduled servicing of individual wagons or entire trainsets. Our standard mobile servicing work includes the replacement of brake blocks, mechanical and pneumatic components of the braking system, and the replacement of wheel sets.

Every railway wagon must be serviced at regular intervals in accordance with the maintenance standards specified by ECM, such as VPI, KVs-5-B-ČDC-CZ, SÚNV or ECM workshop manuals. At our workshop in Ostrava, in addition to standard technical inspections, we also carry out lower and higher-level inspections, repairs to railway wagon bodies and superstructures, repairs and pressure tests on tank wagons, and repairs to wheel sets and other peripheral parts of freight wagons.

As part of our comprehensive customer service, we offer our clients at Vítkovice Transport in Ostrava track capacity for both short-term and long-term storage of railway wagons, as well as storage facilities with the option of rail transport and a direct connection to the sidings.
