“At CE Industries, we are always looking for ways to improve and act more responsibly. Our aim is to enhance the sustainability of the industry and maintain a responsible approach towards the environment and the people around us.”
A key focus is the recycling of secondary raw materials. Tomáš Zingopi, Director of SPV Recycling, in collaboration with Petr Kořínek, has developed an effective solution for sorting the light fraction, thereby reducing landfill costs and meeting environmental commitments.
The crushing plant — one of the largest and most technologically advanced sorting facilities in the Czech Republic — produces light and heavy fractions. The light fraction contains residual materials, including inert substances, metals, secondary raw materials and dust. Previously, all this material was sent to landfill.
The new screening plant separates dust from larger waste particles; magnetic drums then separate metallic dust for industrial use as pellets in metallurgical oxidation processes. The Recycling Division’s goal is to achieve zero landfill within five years — to become an environmentally friendly company.
